Cast counterweight crankshaft (69mm). 8-doweled and heat treated.

Fits Air-Cooled 1600cc engines from 1961 to 2003.

These cranks are precision ground, micro-polished, nitrided and balanced, and uses stock VW main and rod bearings.

Counterweights are used in performance applications because they nullify the reaction caused by the rotation.

This is useful because it helps in achieving higher RPM's in an engine, this makes the engine run smoothly and therefor increases engine life.
