Quality EMPI product. Brand new forged 76mm crankshaft.
Counter-weighted crankshaft with standard VW main and rod bearings. Designed for Volkswagen Type 1 air-cooled engines.
These crankshafts are CNC machined from one piece of forged 4140 Chromoly steel, and then micro-polished and drilled for 8 dowels with 8mm dowel pins installed.
Using 85.5mm pistons will increase capacity to 1745cc
Using 90.5mm pistons will increase capacity to 1956cc
Using 92mm pistons will increase capacity to 2021cc
Using 94mm pistons will increase capacity to 2110cc
A counter weight crank greatly reduces crank flex that in turn would rob power.
Counterweighted crankshafts will require balancing with the fly wheel and pulley before installation.
Your engine case and possibly other components will need machine work to allow for clearance when using a stocked crank
