Removing the light switch escutcheons (Retaining Nut) on Volkswagens can be a real hassle. Using the wrong tool will often result in scratches on the surround or dashboard.

This is the correct tool for the job, the 2 prongs locate securely in the escutcheon and the hollow centre allows the tool to slide over the centre of the switch making removal or re installation far easier.
