Rosie - 1978 Late Bay - Australian import - Automatic

We are reluctantly selling our beloved “Rosie” – a 1978 Late Bay VW camper. We had her imported from Australia as a mini bus (see photos for original condition) and professionally converted including, new 1800cc air cooled engine (new from old stock), full respray and full camper conversion.

She can accommodate 5 people for travel and sleeping so ideal for a 3 children family (like us). Full width rock and roll bed. 3 seatbelts in rear (1 lap belt).

Having spent most of her life in Australia, the body work and chassis are in superb condition – never welded.

The automatic gearbox makes her a dream to drive. The odometer reads 38,073 km (23,657 miles). The new engine was fitted at 5300km so the engine has only done 20,000 miles!

Due to age, Rosie is MOT and tax exempt and ULEZ compliant. Although MOT exempt, can be sold with a new MOT.

Sold with lots of extras including: roof rack, spare wheel, electric hook up cable, full set of thermostats, gas bottle, awning.

Conversion Description
Full bespoke conversion carried out by South West Splitz in Devon.

Installed Australian-style pop top, new engine, full respray, full width rock and roll bed, reupholstered all seats, new kitchen, bespoke cabinetry, leisure battery and electrical hock up system.
