A good set of blackout curtains is an investment for your Mercedes Vito, especially if you’ve gone to the effort to convert it into a campervan with a set of aftermarket windows. Who wants to wake up at dawn while they’re enjoying a break in their camper? Pull the curtains and enjoy a lie-in!

These curtains are excellent for keeping prying eyes out, as well as light, and also help to keep heat in and insulate your van.

At a glance:

• Made from hard-wearing, extra soft knitted jersey, • Black on the side which faces the window, to keep the sunlight at bay,

• Grey on the side which faces the interior, so it will match any camper,

• The curtain rails are pre-bent to the correct size and shape, for easy fitting,

• Supplied with all the hooks, glides and screws you’ll need to get them installed.

Fits the nearside (left) side window, located opposite the sliding door on the left-hand drive Mercedes Vito built from 2004 to 2014. This curtain set is designed specifically for left-hand drive vans, where the sliding door will be on the offside (right). If you’ve got a right-hand drive Vito, and want a curtain for opposite the sliding door, see: J43206.

The curtains: Installing a pair of curtains to your Mercedes Vito is an excellent way to transform it into even more of a home away from home, but can also be a great way to stop anyone seeing what you’ve got stored inside the van. Each set is bespoke designed to fit to the window it’s made for, so there won’t be any gaps between the curtains or on the sides, letting light in. The curtain tracks are also pre-bent and formed to be the correct shape and length for the window, so you won’t need to faff about bending or cutting them. They’re also supplied with a full set of screws to install the rail, and hooks, glides, eyelets and end stops to hang the curtains. You’ll need to stretch the material of the curtains when you fit them, to give them the pleated look.

The material:

These curtain sets have been made from knitted jersey, a fabric which makes them hard-wearing and really soft, too. Knitted jersey is produced in a way which makes it really opaque, so it’s excellent for keeping the light out. It also works as a great insulator, helping you keep the warmth in your camper overnight. The fabric also has a nice drape to it when its hanging in your camper, so it looks really nice, too! The curtains conform to the 95/28 EC standard, so they’ve been tested and approved for resistance to flame.

The rails:

To make adding a set of curtains (or several sets, if you’ve got a full suite of windows) as easy as possible, we’ve made sure that you won’t have to grapple with the rails to make them fit.

• Pre-formed to the correct size and shape for the window they’re designed for,

• Do not require any bending, cutting or reshaping,

• Come with a full set of fitting screws, hooks, eyelets and gliders.
