Type 1 Engine Oil Sump Cover For Temperature Sensor
Type 1 engine oil strainer cover is made out of low pressure cast aluminum for Type-1 and combines the quality of an original oil strainer cover. The inner face sealing edge replicates the original VW cover to assure a perfect seal and allow use of original card seals. The advantages of this sump cover are more obvious on the outer face, as it offers additional cooling fins which align with the fins on the engine case. The real highlight is the slanted drain plug or oil temperature sensor mount, which is protected by a raised area in the casting. This allows the use of an oil temperature sensor even with a very low car. Please note: This product will not work with a deep sump as they are fixed to the engine case with the original studs and the studs for the strainer covers are 30 degrees offset.
