EMPI Twin 34 EPC Carburettor Kit VW Beetle 1968 on VW T2 Bay 1600 1967-1979
The Empi Twin 34 EPC Carburettor Kit is a good alternative to the Weber version.
The 34 EPC is suited to smaller performance 1300 to 1600 twin port engines and can be used on engines up to 1776cc with the correct jetting.
The EMPI Twin 34 EPC Carburettor Kit is compatible with VW Type 1 single port engines. The kit includes two EPC 34 carburettors, air cleaners, intake manifolds, linkage, and mounting hardware. It comes with an electric choke for easy starting. Once Installed, this carburettor kit will significantly improve throttle response, fuel efficiency, and overall engine performance over stock.
We would recommend you synchronise each carburettor using a carb balancer tool J19476 and check for any air leaks. Regular maintenance should involve periodically cleaning the air filters, checking fuel lines, and adjusting the carburettors for optimal performance.
The 34 EPC carb kit is supplied with manifolds, linkage and filters. As with all aftermarket carburettors, we would advise these are set up and tuned using a rolling road, you may need to change jets to suit your application / engine.
