Please note, these parts are manufactured to fit perfectly to the shape of your van, as it left the factory. These parts may require modification, if your classic has been subject to prior modifications over the years. Alteration may need to be done, to perfectly suit your long lived camper. 

Front & Middle Top Hat Section for VW T2 Splits 1950-1967

Looking for a new top hat section for your T2 split? This part is ideal for you! Preservation Parts was developed so that you can replace your original parts with perfect fitting replacements. Sold as single units; this top hat section is suitable for fitting at either the front or middle section.

This front and middle top hat section is fully enclosed and features all the correct holes for cables and the gear shift selector rod. Preservation Parts have built these from 1.2 mm mild steel, and they have been folded and CNC cut as required. These will fit all VW T2 Splits from 1950 to 1967.

These are a vast improvement when compared with the alternatives available to us, a few years back. All lips, folds and holes are in the exact right place for a perfect fit!

Why should I replace my existing classic part?

You may need to replace this part if your old one becomes damaged by rust and other weathering processes. Rust and wear can make the metal very thin, and this can sometimes develop holes.
