This grommet has several applications, its used on Beetles where the main loom passes through the dash on models built from 1965.
On T2 Bays its used where the servo pipe enters the wheel arch.
It is also used on Karmann Ghias,181, Type 3 T4 and the T25 / T3
Grommets help prevent electrical wiring from being damaged by sharp edges as it passes through metalwork.
