The EMPI Polished Pulley with Holes and Black Numbers kit includes the pulley and necessary mounting hardware. Compatible with various VW Beetle and T2 models from 1960 to 1979, this pulley is made of high-quality polished aluminum. Performance benefits include reduced engine drag and improved throttle response. Special installation instructions recommend using a pulley puller for easy removal and installation. Maintenance involves regular inspection for wear and ensuring bolts are tightened. Suitable for both street and off-road use, the pulley features clear timing marks for precise tuning.
Power pulleys were originally designed by Porsche for use on the 356 to slow down the cooling fan so it would still cool the engine but not consume extra horsepower due to fighting fan air resistance as it turned.
Power pulleys can add extra horse power and help eliminate fan belt slip.
