Important product information

Secure your vehicle battery to prevent problems on future road trips. This clamp is designed to secure the vehicle battery to T2 Bays, still sporting a stock tray or fitted with an offside aftermarket version. The battery tray is designed with unique features which facilitate a secure fix for your power source.

Built with a pre-installed plate and captive nut, these features work with the clamp to secure the battery. Butt the battery up against the plate and the clamp will apply pressure to the opposite side. The clamp is upright when the central hole sits proudly at an angle.

A tab secures the battery to the tray, formed from the clamps longest edge. The tab rests on the pronounced lip at the base of your battery box. To secure the clamp, align the clamp hole with the tray hole beneath; use a compatible nut to secure them together.

Bracket installation

The tray underside features a captive nut, welded at an angle to match the clamp. Feed your bolt through the clamp, then thread into the captive nut below. For the clamp to do its job properly, ensure the bolt is tensioned with resistance. The clamp and plate put tension on the battery box, as well as holding it secure to the tray; this keeps the battery still while you drive.
