Will this fit my campervan conversion?

For VW van conversions, this unit would be best suited to larger vehicles like VW Crafters. Similar sized vehicles outside VW, which the Indel B 12 V AC would be well suited to, include the MAN TGE, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Citroen Relay, Peugeot Boxer, Fiat Ducato, Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano.

For this air conditioning unit to fit well within your interior, you’ll want a vehicle with a high roof. This air conditioning unit should only be fitted to tin-top vehicles, not compatible with pop tops or roof racks as these would foul the unit. To experience the best performance from your Indel B 12-volt AC, it’s recommended the unit is fitted to a vehicle with insulated walls.

The Indel B Plein-Air Conditioning Unit allows you to cool and dehumidify your interior, within a confined space. The powerful cooling performance will provide comfort in vehicles up to 6 metres long. If fitted in vehicles any longer, you may require two units to feel any benefit from your AC.

Fitting information

The unit measures approximately 24.6 cm high, 72 cm wide and 80 cm deep. The AC requires a roof aperture of 40cm wide by 40 cm deep. The unit can be fitted to vehicles with a roof thickness of between 30 – 70 mm.

Uses R134A refrigerant gas and has a cooling capacity of 1200 W maximum. The unit powers up with a very low starting current and has a soft start function. The unit is manufactured with a direct current single compressor and has a power consumption of 16 Amp/h while in 12-volt mode.

Two air vents are included with up to three blower speeds at an airflow rate of 350m3/h.
