We are reluctantly selling our beloved SuperHans, a proper right-wheel converted VW T2, born in 1978. It has had many owners since, and we’ve had it for 3 years.
We’ve had a lot of fun and adventures with it (see pictures!), but it needs a big facelift and having now a family we just don’t have the time/energy to carry out all these.
We’ve started with stripping it (see pictures), but the big part of the job still needs doing, hence the low price.
However, the vintage asset will continue increase in value.
A new engine (1600 petrol) has been fitted in 2017, so mechanically sound, although probably not very safe to drive anymore with the rust (see pictures) – would probably be safer to have it transported. Gear box recently changed as well.
Tax & MOT exempt, good service history (all documents available)
Comes completely holiday ready (after bodywork is done, as stated before): Cooking area with sink & 2 gas rings, lots of cupboard & storage, rock&roll bed, awning, roof rack, chairs, cushions, cool box, bike rack, leisure battery, pans, cutlery, charger ports, etc…
Indoor probably needs a refreshing as well, but it’s all superficial: Doorcards need replacing, roof felt removed, windows seal will need looking (but that can probably be done together with the bodywork), side lock door a bit dodgy (we use a bike lock).
In conclusion, if you’ve also dreamt of having a proper really cool old VW T2 van, and you are up for a project, SuperHans is for you.
