we see so many 'restored vans' lately at our workshop here at G'day Kombis ltd in Oxfordshire. Sadly too many are far from restored, more bodged to look pretty and make a quick penny. it's worse than ever with MOT exempt status now of vans.

This is where we come in to the market, 17 years in business, importing, restoring, upgrading and selling classic vw campers. We built buses to clients specification for many many years but now tend to offer stock for sale from previous owners.

We run a busy workshop and sadly see so many vans that really aren't fit for the road and people have paid a lot of many for. dont fall in to this trap, Kermit here is an excellent camper van as well as the many others we have on our site. www.gdaykombis.com

We imported and sold this van 12 years ago to a lovely local family. We have looked after the bus ever since and it has never wanted for anything. The bus has carried the family of 4 to the South of France 6 years in a row with never an issue.

Then in 2016 we sold the van again to another local couple, who have had us always maintain Kermit, anything ever advised has been carried out.

in 2016 as part of the sales process we did a full top end rebuild enlarging the engine to 2.1. we also installed brand new cylidner heads and Porsche 911 'elephant feet' adjusters. This van pulls so strongly up any hill. it crusies on tick over at 70mph.

further upgrades to the bus mean it has now been lowered too and as well as having the fuel tank out and soting all fuel lines etc.

This late bay is just so original inside and out. I purchased this bus in Melbourne in 2006 and drove it back to Adelaide overnight. I was really chuffed to have found this on a short overnight buying trip to Melbourne and to find a 1 owner bus with full service history (Mostly VAG) All of its original booklets and in original condition inside and out.

On arrival in the U.K it sold to the first family to view, at this point the family wanted to freshen up the flat paint so we repainted the exterior of the bus. The bus required no welding and is still in A1 condition inside and out. The bus had all new window rubbers and door seals after its paint job.

The bus was converted by sunliner so has the front built in roof rack. We also installed a new pop top canvas on its arrival in the U.K and re-trimmed the rear bed. A new set of curtains and flooring were also installed at this time.

The cabinets are all original and showcase how lovely and honest this bus is.

this is a lovely original vw of Australia van with a excellent full mechanical history, and very powerful engine.
