Campervan volkswagen project

1982 volkswagen campervan. 1970cc. Petrol. No mot
Not running has been at garage 3 years needing repair
The speedo doesn't work and hasn't since around 2016.
Parts are within the campervan to our knowledge. I have a list of parts purchased from garage if needed.
I believe the engine isn't together or working but are told all parts for it are within the camper there was a problem getting the cam shaft but has now been purchased. Unfortunately my dad has since passed away so is no longer needed/wanted.
Good project for anyone who knows about them.
Was running daily 3 years ago attended vintage rally etc.
