VW Campervan EXTRA SPACE T5 2010 SWB Conversion Silver MOT High Roof Motorhome

£17,750.00
S32
A nearly finished VW T5 camper conversion that has been a demo van over the summer for a new range of conversion kits (full details at https://camperescapes.com/ and promo video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_HodEpen1E).
It has three new conversions already fitted which provide nearly 40% more space in the van. Only a few have been made the last few years, therefore unique and the only realistic way to get most space in a standard T5 without crazy expensive things like the VW double back system.
It has been to several camper events over the summer including Dub Odyssey and Tatton Park. A national camper magazine are also doing a news feature on these conversions with this demo van.
We originally planned to complete everything and sell in the New Year, but limited time now so looking to sell as is.
All the usual main parts have been done including swivel passenger and drivers’ seats, and side windows. Only two main things to do are:
1. Add services that you need like gas to the hob, water to the sink (but water can provided), and any electricity like 240v hook-up, leisure battery under the driver’s seat, mains investor and final LED lights.
2. Final finishings including floor covering, insulation, carpet lining, and blinds
Getting into the detail of what the conversion includes:
• Kitchen units nice and compact at the side, with roller shutter over one part, cutlery tray on the other, and small end shelves and area for a small gas bottle for the hob
• SMEV double hob and sink, brand new and ready to connect up
• Mini Reggio SK35a electric fridge again brand new, ready to install
• Mini portaloo not used and unpackaged
• Small water bottle to supply the sink when connected
• Side windows on each side, the off side one having a small open window
• Swivel seats for both the single drivers but also double passenger seats
• Extended roof in fibre glass for over 6 feet standing height, and external locks on each corner. Side windows for daylight, and easily flipped up on hinges. Sits very slim on the roof, and just a case of adding own internal paint/covering.
• Side cupboards and wardrobes for each side of the rear bed in white aluminium material. Roller shutters over the wardrobe area, and separate wood shelves already provided to install once the van side insulation/trims is completed. Also, shelves above these and the kitchen unit.
• Pop-out rear double bed in new fibre glass pod design, allowing space for a double bed both lengthways (half hanging out the back), and sideways with the compact shelves. Lightweight and easily rolls back in and out, and wood bed bases provided. Handy storage under the bed frame in the van, plus shelves that pop in each side of the bed for storing watches/mobiles etc when in bed. Also, when in the van the rear turns into a handy boot space from the rear barn doors.
• Double memory foam mattress provided
• Cool dining table that neatly fits in the side sliding door to bring out in the main camper area when needed.
• All pre-cut wood trims to finish off the ceiling and van sides after adding insulation.
In terms of the base van, we made sure this is a good one purchased at the beginning of the year:
• Basically, a sound van with low mileage, well looked after, tidy, runs well, and through a dealer with a 3 months warranty (although now expired). It was a plumber’s van before therefore a pretty easy life for a van.
• The bodywork is in very good condition with a former respray to help keep fresh.
• MOT until February 2023 therefore with approx. 6 months left, shouldn’t be any issues passing with low mileage since earlier this year
• Low mileage at 123,250, with approx. 1,250 done ourselves the last 6 months from when I purchased with no issues other than just a ABS sensor that needed changing.
• A double full service when I first purchased in February, both a detailed one from the dealer but then my own local garage who I trust who went through carefully and happy for interested buyers to speak with them first hand if preferred. Although not a full service history until that time, everything has been checked.
There is only a few niggly things that need looking at, but we haven’t had the time and depends upon how far you want to go with the final conversion (the stereo is always on, the cigarette charger doesn’t always work, and ideally a better catch on one of the rear barb doors).
It’s a cracking van with no hassle over the last six months. Plus, a totally unique conversion that adds extra space to it with the flexibility to simply finish off how you like (a nice winter project for next year).
