1969 VW T2 Campervan for sale

Very reluctant sale of my beautiful camper, Ive had it for nearly 20 years and would like to keep it but we are moving house and unfortunately don’t have anywhere to keep it so its got to go. The money would be handy too as the new house needs loads of work ;)

The van is in fantastic condition with a rust free body including the underside , The interior is an all original Devon conversion with all the original trim from headliner to floor mats, It has an original pop top in fine condition and comes with the original canvas awning also in fine condition.
The 1600 engine has been super well maintained , starts first time and runs great

We’ve had it full garaged for the last 10 years and in the last few years have done lots of body repairs with replacement panels on the front, wheel arches, sills, outriggers and jacking points, belly pans, replacement rubbers all round, lots of other little bits like indicator lenses, mirrors etc, obviously a respray after the work was complete. NO RUST

I think the previous owner replaced the front axel as the front is disc brakes but from a 72, anyway it stops fine.

The engine has been on the bench a couple of times over the winters and has all the usual stuff replaced, like push rod tubes, gaskets, leads and hoses, like ive said its well maintained and runs great.

Inside comes Devon fitted with pull out double bed, gas cooker, two hammock beds in the pop up roof, all the upholstestery and curtains etc are original so being 50 odd years old have a few marks etc but I always thought it a shame to rip it all out and replace it as its only original once, They’re all on great condition for their age. All the fittings, handles, buttons etc are original and complete, Could do with some new cab door cards and the drivers’ seat has a minor tear but these are hard to find in original condition so maybe some seat covers, there’s also a small split in the dash rubber trim but again its over 50 years old.
The original canvas awning is in amazing condition and all the zips etc still work great, it’s a super rare addition and stows easily under the rear seat.
Comes with an overcab roof rack too, and there’s a DAB stereo and under dash shelf.
Could do with some new door hinge pins which are cheap but a bitch to fit


It a fair price for something so original and in such nice condition so no stupid offers, your welcome to come and have a look, Bring someone along who knows about old vans, they’ll tell you how good it really is before you get the money out!

Garaged in Cheltenham at the moment but will soon have to be parked on street in Kent
