1974 - Dolly cream VW T2 late bay

This is Dolly our 1974 (M reg) VW T2 late bay.

She is very cute and this is a reluctant sale, however, she has given us the "bug" for roaming and we have decided to upgrade to something bigger and more grown-up!!

She has had an older body restoration and a respray to cream, which still looks pretty good.

She's had an interior refit by Vantastic, complete with a 12v fridge and ice cube freezer, 2 burner gas hob, sink, a 3/4 rock + roll bed and more storage than you would imagine you could fit in there, kitchen cupboard space, trunk storage, under seat storage and an over-head cupboard!

She has the original pop top roof and an over the cab roof rack. Had we been keeping her, we would have been tidying up the inside of the roof/pop top, the roof rack has been done .

Another job we would have done was to sort out the heating but as we only really drive her in the summer it hasn't been high on our priority list and also previously owning a VW Beetle, I know there isn't much difference between working and not!!

She has a 240v hook-up, a leisure battery and a driveaway awning.

She has been lowered, just a bit, has Porsche cookie cutter wheels, chrome bumpers and a privacy film fitted to all windows, all legal and all really well fitted, no air bubbles!

The rear window is a safari window, which means it opens ups and luckily for us, it doesn't leak, like other have been known to.

The engine is a 1600cc with dual carbs and a sport exhaust. There have been some extra dials put in for oil pressure, temperature and a rev counter.

She is Tax and MOT Exempt, however, we didn't like that much so she is now MOT'd, currently until Jun22.

We have recently given her 2 rear tyres, new rubber boots on the track rod end and new front brake calipers and pads. There was also a drain on the battery which we have fixed, meaning no more trickle charging whilst we are away!

With her creamy good-looks, her blacked out windows and her lower profile she gets a LOT of admiring looks at shows and on our travels. She isn't concourse but she does stand out in a crowd and will be dearly missed by us and our friends.
