1966 VW 13 WINDOW DELUXE SPLITSCREEN CAMPER CALLED FLO

I am pleased to offer this 1966 VW 13 Window Deluxe Splitscreen Campervan.

This is a Colorado import and has the original Colorado plates attached to the seats in the back. She is called FLO because the last three letters of the Colorado plate is OLF so felt fitting to reverse it and call her FLO.

The van was imported to the UK in October 2008 from Colorado but was in Duluth before that. The van vin plate and m plate codes say it is a 13 window samba.

It is a left hand drive, 13 window deluxe walk through microbus. It has approximately 62,900 miles on the clock and has a 1584cc engine. The engine was reconditioned by Volkswerkes’ of Taunton. It is tax exempt. Fitted with four new tyres and a new spare wheel.

The van has had the front brakes upgraded to disk brakes, it has had new shock absorbers, new brake cylinders, hoses etc. The air box has been overalled and has new perforated stainless steel filters. Many little extras including LED indicators and tail lights, bespoke grab handles and a vanity mirror fitted to the overhead air box to name a few. The chrome has also been rechromed.

The upper colour of the van is Toyota White Crystal Shine and the lower is Aston Martin Viper Blue. The inside of the van has had a new headlining with insulation, and has been upholstered in modern durable fabric. The rear curtains are black out curtains. There is a Smev two burner and sink unit fitted with a whale pump operated tap. A full width rock n roll bed fitted.

All the door and window seals replaced and pop out-windows fitted. Split relay charger for leisure battery. New carburettor fitted. Electrics isolator fitted in a stainless steel box for extra security. Retro radio fitted in dash with two pioneer speakers and USB and AUX connections.

There is a file full of receipts for parts, upgrades and services. The previous owner has spent approximately £16,000 on it.

This van will certainly turn heads where it goes and is the ultimate festival going, staycation loving, mobile home.
