1967 model year VW Type 2 Split Screen Panel Van/Camper LHD

1967 model, US supplied in September 1966, it benefits from a huge amount of investment, both in time and monetary values, with invoices totalling more than £45,000 within the history folder along with dozens of photographs documenting the various stages of the restoration. This van is a million miles away from 'average', you'd be very hard-pushed to find one as complete.

Originally imported from Texas in 2014, it has had a full bare shell nut and bolt restoration which was finished in 2020. With all new panels and painted to an exceptional standard, with all work carried out by specialists, Dan Munday’s BusStop.

The build also included and new 1.5 litre air cooled 4 cylinder and 4 speed manual gearbox from The Engine Shop, stainless steel exhaust system from Cool Air Volkswagen Specialists, plus a long list of new parts from Custom & Commercial (fuel tank, engine lid (church key style), steering wheel (with centre horn), front and rear bumpers, 12v indicator relay box, window seals, underfloor belly kit and king pin kits.)

Riding on smart, chrome-finished 15″ Empi 5 spoke alloys shod with Yokohama tyres.

It has had a full new interior fitted at Vehicle Re-trim Services which includes a full width rock and roll bed, yacht wood style floor and LED lighting.

Entertainment comes via a JBL GTR Bluetooth amplifier with speakers in the cab and in the rear.

Regularly serviced and MOT’d, this is a classic van which can be used on a daily basis. Ideal for light commercial use, it’s head-turning way to get your business noticed.
