For Sale: 1991 “Bulli” VW T25 Westfalia Vanagon GL Campervan

Our much-loved Bulli has been in the family from new, and now on the look out for a new family.

Originally purchased when we lived in Germany, manufactured in 1991, and registered in the UK in 1994 this Westfalia Vanagon GL spec camper is now looking for a new family to take care of it. It must have been one of the last batch out of the factory in the early 90s.

We call it by its German nickname - “The Bulli” - and has been in the family since its purchase and on many adventures throughout Europe. Now we’d like to find it a new owner who’ll love it just as much.

The bodywork needs a lot of love, with scuffs and scratches from its various adventures, as well as some rust in the usual locations, but the camper is mechanically very sound, with a 2.1 L petrol engine and smooth automatic transmission. The Flash Silver exterior is matched by the original grey cloth interior that's in very good condition. The camper comes with orignal owner's literature from VW which make for an excellent nostalgic read.

The interior has the original kitchenette with stove, sink, and water tank, although we’ve not used any of it for a while, preferring to cook al fresco... Cabinets, tables, swiveling front seats, and a fold-out rear bench complement the pop-top sleeping bunk, providing ample space for a couple or little family. Original curtains and insect screens also included - and in pretty OK condition.

The Westfalia Vanagon GL spec camper also features a rear defroster, and a rear wiper. The camper's bodywork needs some attention, but the interior is in pretty decent condition. The pop-top tent needs to be replaced, but it is still usable with some improvised gaffer tape repairs.

We’ve put the ad up to gauge interest - and will update the gallery photos shortly to show more angles of the Bulli plus the interior, as well as the tearing of the pop-top tent. The fridge hasn't been run on propane but operates on electricity hookup fine.
