JKR50 Fridge-Freezer 12-volt LG Compressor (Black)

The JKR50 is our new and improved fridge-freezer, designed to be even better than our previous JKF50 fridge. 

Finished in black, and fitted with an LG Compressor, the JKR50 is created with the same top-quality components as other campervan fridges but at a more affordable price. 

We’ve designed the JKR50 to strike a balance between being compact and efficient, while also offering you 42 litres of flexible storage space inside. 

This version of the JKR50 compressor fridge-freezer is finished in black, but we also have one finished in silver. See J49388. 

Key Features of the JKR50:

One of the biggest improvements to the JKR50 is the door, which has hinges and handles on both sides, so you can open it either way without needing to adjust the door at all! 

How Big is the JKR50?

We know from our own experience that space is always at a premium in campervans, so we’ve designed the JKR50 to be small enough to fit in a whole range of different camper interiors, while also allowing you enough storage space inside to keep enough food and drink for a weekend away.

The JKR50 measuries just 530mm high x 380mm wide x 500mm deep, so it’s easy to integrate it into your camper’s interior.

The JKR50 has been fitted with the highest quality components, previously reserved for more expensive fridges, but available at a more affordable price. 

You’ll barely notice the LG compressor while it’s running, as it’s really popular with campers for being so quiet, and it’s efficient enough to bring your JKR50 to the set temperature in no time, without putting a huge strain on your vehicle’s leisure battery. 

JKR50 Technical Specifications and Information 

The JKR50 functions as a 12v compressor fridge-freezer, using energy from your camper’s leisure battery to keep its interior to the temperature which you’ve set using the control panel on the front. 

This means that the JKR50 won’t necessarily be running all the time, and will only kick in if it needs to cool down the internal temperature – for example, because the door was opened and warm air from inside got into the fridge. 

Fridge temperature range: 0°C to +8°C (32°F to 46°F)

Freezer temperature range: -12°C to -20°C (10°F to -4°F)

You’ll be able to adjust these temperatures via the user-friendly control panel and LED display. This also allows you switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C), which is the default, or Fahrenheit (°F). 

From the control panel, you can also access the intelligent battery protection system. With this, you can set your power draw dependant on how you are powering your fridge.

We encourage the use of this feature to prolong the longevity of your vehicle’s leisure batteries. You have three modes to choose from: high, medium or low. 

Amp-hours per hour:

The leisure battery in your vehicle with have an Amp Hour (Ah) rating, which tells you how much power the battery has and how long it is expected to last before being depleted. 

Our JKR50 fridge has a power draw of 0.7 Ah/h (Amp Hours per hour), which is a minimal draw and won’t put a lot of pressure on your leisure battery. 

Every camper will have a different electrical set up, with different leisure batteries, appliances, inverters, and other components installed, so it’s difficult to give an indicative power draw which will apply to most people’s vehicles.
