Keep your camper consistently warm during colder periods with the Propex HS2800 heater. Fuelled by propane or butane gas and working independently from your engine, the HS2800 means you can stay comfortable when parked up or on the move.

As an automatic thermostatically controlled blown air heating system, the HS2800 has a heat output of 2.8kW and benefits from twin outlets. This is an improvement on the smaller output, single outlet HS2000.

Please Note: We’re unable to send Propex heaters outside the UK. If you’re based outside the UK you won’t be able to purchase a Propex heater from Just Kampers.

Please be aware these heaters are rated for use with 30mb butane and 30/37mb propane. This is widely accepted across Europe, though some European countries also use 50 mb gas pressure, so please bear this in mind. The Propex HS2000 is sadly not suitable for use in the USA. We’re also unable to sell to customers outside the UK.

Temperature Control: An electronic thermostat is supplied as standard with the Propex HS2800. This works intelligently to automatically switch the unit on and off to maintain your desired cabin temperature.

For instance, if the room temperature drops below your desired level, the HS2800 will automatically reignite and continue to run until it reaches the set temperature. Unlike some heaters, there is minimal electric current consumption during ignition. This means that cycling the HS2800 on and off does not have the effect of additional battery drain.

The supplied thermostat has a sleek surface mount design, meaning it’s easy to install, and effortlessly integrates with the new electronics fitted to the HS2800 heaters. As an optional extra, you can also purchase an easy-to-operate panel-mounted digital timer/thermostat specifically designed for Heatsource.

Optimal Efficiency: You can relax in the knowledge that the HS2800 heater is a clean and efficient way to heat your vehicle. This is thanks to its forced air combustion and Propex two-stage stainless steel heat exchanger. Air for combustion is taken from outside and passed into the combustion chamber having been mixed with gas during three aeration stages.

It is then ignited automatically and heats up the large surface area of the heat exchanger. The Heatsource units are completely room-sealed and exhaust all products of combustion externally through the neat 22mm i.d. stainless steel flue pipe. To further add to the heater’s efficiency, cabin air is normally re-circulated in preference to using cold air from outside.

The Propex HS2800 is also very efficient when it comes to electrical current consumption. This is down to the high-quality motor/fan combination and innovative current-reducing electronics. The HS2800 draws less than 2 amps during normal operation.

Quiet Operation: Propex heaters are designed to be quiet in operation without compromising air throughput and heat output – and the HS2800 is no exception. There will inevitably be some air noise from a system that produces a healthy throughput of air, however, by using high-quality balanced fans and smooth enclosed motors with ball race bearings, noise is significantly reduced.

Noise is also unaffected by high voltage, a common occurrence with battery charges, solar panels etc. However, the microprocessor electronics regulate the motor voltage so that the fan speed does not alter from 10 to 15 volts.

Safety: The HS2800 blown air heater conforms to the latest European safety standards for the appliance and the electronics. All Heatsource heaters also have to comply with an enhanced version of the Electro Mechanical Compatibility Directive to ensure they do not interfere with other electronics and that they are immune from interference by other electronics.

The HS2800’s built-in intelligent electronics are continuously monitoring the operation of the heater to ensure all is operating safely as it should. This includes monitoring the flame, case temperature, combustion airflow, gas solenoid valve and voltage. Should any of these areas stray outside of the predetermined levels, the heater will be automatically switched off and a red light on the thermostat will indicate a fault by flashing a certain number of times.

Installation: The Propex HS2800 is supplied with complete fitting kits to allow for easy installation in your campervan The unit is usually mounted in a bed-box or cupboard in your camper, flued downwards through the floor and out to the side of the vehicle using flexible stainless ducting. These ducts (26mm i.d. for the HS2800) are supplied as standard in lengths of 750mm for vehicles. The ends are finished with neat stainless steel end-caps which comply with EN624. The heat is ducted to one or more outlets through tough, highly flexible 60mm or 76mm ducting. In the case of multi-outlet heating installations, the first outlet is an open outlet with directional control and the rest are closable and used in conjunction with the appropriate-sized plastic Y-branches. Please be aware that these heaters are rated for use with 30mb butane and 30/37mb propane. This is widely accepted across Europe, however, some European countries also use 50mb gas pressure.
