1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Bay Window Campervan – Original Viking Conversion
For Sale
It’s time to reluctantly pass on my pride and joy—a genuinely cherished 1979 Volkswagen Type 2 Bay Window campervan. Being a 1979 model, this represents the very final year of the iconic Bay Window body style, making it a highly desirable classic for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
What truly sets this bus apart is its rare and highly sought-after period-authentic Viking roof conversion. Unlike modern custom camper conversions, the Viking setup preserves genuine 1970s character, offering fantastic headroom and an authentic retro layout that always steals the show at rallies and steam meets. Finished in classic Olympic Blue (paint code L51P), the paintwork presents brilliantly and turns heads everywhere it goes.
