Elsie is our much loved camper who we bought in Sept 20 and have used her extensively for camping trips, day visits and car shows. She has been garaged during our ownership and we have refreshed the interior, upgraded the mechanicals and ride. The pictures do her justice and now is the time to pass her on to new owners to have adventures of their own.

MOT and road tax exempt ( last MOT and service in March 26), all work on her since 2020 has been carried out by Sussex Aircooled with receipts and invoices for the work available. I will have her re MOt’d and service inspection for a new owner as part of the sale. Under the last owner a new gearbox was fitted as part of his restoration, we have fitted a fireboy fire suppression system in the engine bay (see photo), E10 compliant fuel lines, Bilstein shocks all round to smooth out the ride, new engine heads, pushrods and part engine rebuilt will all new seals in March 2026. She runs well and no oil leaks!
Inside:
We used Combe Valley Campers and David Powell Upholstery to upgrade the seats (front T25) and new foam in the rock and roll bed, added a rear overheat cabinet, gas locker to the existing stove/sink unit and upgraded the leisure electrics and insulation to make her a comfortable camping van.
We also fitted a van works buddy box which houses a Thetford porta potti which is included. There is no fitted fridge, we use a 12v cool box which fits nicely between the front seats. There is a EHU point in the engine bay, 12v and USB sockets and already plumbed in for a solar panel which we place on the roof/ side of the van when camping. (Panel is not included). Happy to include other pieces of camping equipment we have that we are not going to use again.
She is in excellent condition for her age, has waxoyl protection underneath and is lowered to go into a standard height garage running on 15in VW heritage chrome Fuchs wheels.
