1987 (E) VW T3/25 High-Top
MOT to April 2027 (then exempt).
‘Ruby’ is nearly 40 with 134k miles under her tyres. We’ve enjoyed her for four years to prove we like the camper life. Now for something a bit more spacious.
She has electrical hook-up, a full kitchen (3-ring gas hob, grill, fridge/freezer, sink), and plenty of storage. She has a solid rock 'n' roll bed plus, as a Hi-Top, room up top for two kids or one teen/adult. Rotating front passenger seat. Inertia belts up front, three static belts in the rear.
She’s lived a life and isn’t perfect, but who is at that age. There’s invariably something to do to her if you want to, but it’s more pottering and cosmetic than anything mechanically or electrically fundamental.
She’s had work done over the years, including what we were told was a replacement 1.8 litre VW Golf engine. She's had an OK respray in the same dark red that's now showing it's age.
In our ownership, she’s had new suspension, fuel tank, and brakes to name a few, plus some minor welding. She’s MOTd until April 2027 and was serviced at the last MOT. Four good tyres.
