Welcome to the ad for our 1971 RHD VW early bay window camper affectionately known as 'Wanda'
We have owned her for 15 years and have had countless wonderful adventures in her, travelling the length and breadth of the country going to shows and on holidays and making fantastic memories.
She's always done us proud and never returned home on a tow truck!
Wanda was purchased from G'day Kombi's in 2011 and is an Australian import having been completely restored to our specifications and to an incredibly high standard with superb attention to detail. She even has a powered pop-up 16” TV/DVD hidden in the storage unit behind the passenger’s seat
The mechanical restoration included the fitting of a fully reconditioned 1641 Remtec ‘Street Power’ Engine with twin Weber carburettors, heat exchangers, alternators, electronic ignition and stainless-steel exhaust. She was fitted with a new manual gearbox in 2015.
She's travelled just 16,1026m (25,921km) since the rebuild, always been maintained regardless of cost, and kept in a dry garage; she still looks as immaculate as the day we took delivery and having just been serviced is ready to hit the road.
Wanda is MOT and tax exempt but always regularly serviced and we will put a fresh MOT on her for the new owner.
She comes with two sets of keys and remote controls for the alarm system.
We’re reluctantly selling as we’re not as young as we used to be and we find ourselves using her less and less, so she deserves a new home.
It’s sad to see her go but she's no longer being used as she should so needs a loving new owner to take good care of her, share some adventures and create new memories.
