1975 VW T2 Bay Window Panel Van – Restored day van / 1600 Twin Carb / RHD
Reluctantly selling my 1975 Bay Window after years of ownership. Fully restored in 2018 from the vehicle shown in the final photos and has been dry stored and never used through winter since.
Finished in VW Urano Grey and converted into a simple day van. It's now 51 years old, so there are a few age-related marks from the restoration, but it still presents brilliantly and gets attention everywhere it goes.
1600cc air-cooled twin-carb engine, electronic ignition, stainless exhaust and 1303 Beetle gearbox for more relaxed cruising. Lowered on splines/beam adjusters.
Inside is a 3/4 rock-and-roll bed, night heater and leisure-battery setup, with Wolfsburg-style steering wheel.
Four brand-new tyres just fitted and it will receive a fresh service for the new owner. Historic vehicle – tax and MOT exempt.
Current faults: exhaust back box has split so it's currently louder than normal, and the leisure battery needs reconnecting.
A great opportunity for someone looking for something a little different from the usual Bay Window camper — genuine panel vans don't come up for sale nearly as often.
