Reluctantly offered for sale is our much loved Volkswagen T2 Crossover camper, a vehicle that has benefited from extensive restoration and investment over recent years. This is a camper that turns heads wherever it goes and is ready to be enjoyed immediately.
This camper attracts attention everywhere it goes, whether parked at a country park, attending local events or exhibiting at classic car shows. Its quality was recognised when it won an award at a classic car show we attended recently, and it consistently receives compliments for its presentation and condition.
The sale is genuinely reluctant. Our family has grown, and with three young boys now getting bigger, we've sadly outgrown the camper. Combined with increasingly busy weekends filled with football and other family commitments, we simply aren't finding the time to use it as it deserves.
This is an opportunity to purchase a beautifully restored and highly usable Volkswagen T2 Crossover camper that has benefited from substantial expenditure and careful ownership.
The bodywork has undergone a comprehensive restoration, including being taken back to bare metal and professionally welded where required. The underside is now exceptionally solid and well-presented, as shown in the photographs.
The interior was completely refurbished by Camper Revampers at a cost of over £10, 000 and remains in outstanding condition. It is clean, comfortable and beautifully finished throughout. It has 5 seats all with 3 point seatbelts The interior comprises of a weekend pod, full width rock n roll bed, built in fridge, sink, hob and interior proper heater. The camper is also fitted with a new pop-top roof which has been used fewer than ten times since installation. It has leisure battery and a smart change system which is really useful to keep the battery charged when driving whilst the fridge is on.
Mechanically, the vehicle has seen significant investment. The engine has been fully rebuilt and has covered only around 400 miles since completion. It will be supplied with a fresh service for the new owner. Additional recent work includes:
- New front drop spindles
- New brake calipers
- New brake discs
- New clutch
- Upgraded fuel lines compatible with modern fuels
- Engine bay fire suppression system
All of the major work that typically concerns prospective T2 buyers has already been completed, making this a camper that can be driven, enjoyed and shown with confidence.
Viewings are welcome and encouraged. Serious enquiries only, please.
