For sale is my 1968 beetle convertible
The car has just recently been re wired along with having a full check at a local classic car garage
This is a VW cabriolet built by Karmann of Osnabruck . This is the highly sought after Yukon yellow 1968 model with the safer Europa bumpers and upright headlights and painted in that beautiful pastel colour straight out of the 60’s
The previous owner tells me that it underwent a full restoration a few years ago ( I have pics of this )
Benefitting from having a full body off restoration where both heater channels and cabriolet reinforcing rails were replaced
It body was then treated to a fresh coat of Yukon yellow there are a couple of areas of imperfections that could be addressed but nothing too bad ( see pictures )
The interior has new Porsche front seats covered in leather and houndstooth these are a lot more comfortable than the original Beetle seats and provide great back and neck support which is almost non existent on original seats
the rear seat is the original one with the black perforated vinyl
It has new door cards all round
The hood could do with some attention but it spends most of its time down so never really bothered me ( see pic )
It has a brand new Vintage speed classic 12” quick shifter

The bug has been lowered on a eva resto 4” narrowed beam with adjustable height , with disc brakes dropped spindles and Porsche pattern disc and new calipers
It has then been fitted with chromed and hand detailed black GFK style Fuchs theses are the best wheels out there in my opinion It’s running staggered width wheels , with 4x5x15” up front and 5.5x15” on the rear with 135/80/15 tyres up front and 205/65/15 at the back all matching Nankangs
With this wheel and tyre combo and suspension height it looks great and turns a lot of heads whereever it goes
It’ll be a sad day when it sells but a change in circumstances means it has to go
