This van happily keeps up with modern day traffic with no problem. I’ve taken it up & down the country multiple times, had some great holidays & days out but due to a recent change in circumstances it’s time to let the van go.
The van has been regularly serviced by Andy at the Farnborough Volkswagen centre.
A number of parts have been replaced or updated since my ownership including;
Rear arches welded.
Gear box.
Alternator.
Crankshaft.
Head gaskets.
A few features I’ve added to the van during my ownership are;
Full width rusty lee rock & roll bed.
Hand built kitchen unit with gas hob fitted.
Loads of spare parts come included in the sale, please see photos.
Also, all the parts required to install electrics running on a split charge relay system available; including lithium ion leisure battery, fuse board, spit charge relay, wiring, lighting, LED strip lights, 12v charger point.
Bad points; the body work is tatty in places, the cab steps do need welding soon. One of the sliding doors is a little sticky but still works. Tailgate is quite tatty & dented but I do have a replacement in the same colour.
All in all a mostly finished project, which is definitely useable as it is for weekends away.
