VW T2 Bay 1977 Westfalia Camper Van - unique, stunning, driveable van

Beautiful condition with lovely paintwork. Full nuts and bolts rebuild with sporadic use since. Always kept in a garage or covered (with the included cover). Rebuild photos available.
Rebuild completely modernised the mechanics, exterior and interior respray, with refurbished Westfalia Helsinki interior. Completed by Campervan Coachworks as their 'show' model, the van has hardly been used since.
With replaced or rebuilt mechanics, the van drives amazingly well, with a smooth ride, power-assisted steering, servo brakes, comfortable at 60-80 mph, with good fuel economy for a van of its age. This is a van that steers straight, accelerates smoothly, breaks comfortably and corners well, unlike every other vans we've driven.
Mechanical upgrades:
- New VW Engine Co 2L reconditioned engine in 2024 with at most 2,000 miles since.
- Dellorto 40 twin carbs
- Red 9 design independent suspension
- Adjustable dampeners all round
- Lite-Steer power-assisted steering
- Disc & pad brakes front/back
- Fire extinguisher in engine bay
Exterior upgrades:
- Painted original beige using VW paint, with white trim.
- Respray and touch-up all panels, bumpers and wheels in 2025
- Comes with a full good condition cover to keep the van protected if not garaged.
- Large pull-out awning comfortably makes space for a table.
- Fully under-sealed approximately 10 years ago: chassis & under-seal look great.
- Currently tow bar or you can switch that out for the twin SS stainless exhausts.
