1973 VW T2 Late Bay Campervan – Australian Import – “Delilah” – 1641cc
Sadly, the time has come to sell my beloved campervan “Delilah” after 12 fantastic years of ownership. She’s been part of countless adventures, from endless UK camping trips and VW shows to an unforgettable road trip to Le Mans Classic in France during the heatwave of 2018.
This is a 1973 Australian-import VW T2 Late Bay with a 1641cc petrol engine. Being an Australian bus, it remains impressively solid and shows very little rust compared to many UK examples. The underside has been treated and resin painted, although there are a few minor areas that would benefit from remedial attention.
Prior to my ownership, Delilah underwent an extensive exterior repaint, fully documented with a photo album. During my ownership, the interior was completely stripped and professionally restored in 2015, creating a practical and comfortable camper with plenty of character.
