With a heavy heart we are selling our beautiful Westfalia T2 Bay campervan.
Purchased from a lovely family in 2017, who had had it in their own family since 1976. She has been well cared for, every mile/journey logged since the family purchased her in 1976. We have loved reading back over Phoebe's previous adventures in the log books.
We have all the original documents which were passed onto us, and we have had her serviced and MOT'd every year since we have had her (with a gap 2020 due to Covid). We also have the MOTs and Service history prior to this.
We have had some amazing adventures in her, our most recent one being a 1700 mile round trip to Switzerland, last summer. She has never let us down once.
We were advised by the previous owners to try keep the top speed to around 50MPH, to preserve the engine. We have adhered to this and have never had a spot of bother with her. She will, of course, go faster if needs be!
She has had no alterations or renovations, we have kept her 'original'however we believe she may have had a bit of paintwork to keep her in good condition (in her original colour). We replaced the canvas on the pop top tent in 2018, again in her original colour. Any other bits of work along the years we have itemised receipts for.
Phoebe has a rock and roll double bed, a hammock which sits across the front cabin, and a single /small double bed space in the pop up roof. She has a working gas hob, ample storage (amazing how much you can squeeze into her!), and comes with a storage bag which we attach to her roof-bars to give us extra storage (being a family of 5!). We have never used the fridge as a 'fridge' instead opting to use it for storage, and using cool boxes instead. There is also a fire extinguisher and blanket, plus other bits.
We would love for Phoebe to go to a loving home who are going to cherish and care for her, and take her on many more adventures. Now our children are growing up we feel we are slightly outgrowing her and do not use her as much as we would like.
She has been garaged definitely since 1976, 1974-1976 is unknown apart from the owners name. Whenever we have taken her for a service/MOT, mechanics are always wowed at her amazing condition for her age and miles. She had a full service last summer, and is tax exempt, being a classic vehicle.
