5 speed VW watercooled petrol DG, MOT until May 2027, no advisories. Our pride and joy, back to metal respray in 2023, sounded deadened and insulated, recarpeted and redesigned interior to maximise space and comfort on our travels. Sadly we must now pass on "Bluie" to her next custodians after 15 years of joyous campervanning.
- 3 owners, 4 seat belts, 2 sets of keys.
- Dodomat insulation and sound deadening on all interior panels, replacement door cards and re-carpeted throughout.
- Reconditioned engine supplied and fitted by The VW Engine Company 5 December 2024, only covered 4,500 since refit. As we have had a new engine fitted we took their advice to update and replace the radiator, and stainless steal front & rear cooling pipes at the same time.
- Oil change and new choke vacuum kit fitted Jan 2025.
- Sleeps 4 (2 adults, 2 children) or 2 adults comfortably using the hightop as storage as we do.
- Original wheels and hub covers.
- Truck style wing mirrors.
- Interior has been restyled to install a rock and roll bed that is full size double.
- Clip on table provides extra worktop space and is stored behind drivers seat.
- Dining table and steel post.
- Loads of storage above cab, under bed (front and rear) and larder.
- 3 way fridge, reconditioned original gas heater with new thermostat, new 2 ring gas hob, sink and onboard 10 litre water system with pump to tap, LED interior lights.
- Black out curtains on sides and rear, pull around curtain covering front windows and windscreen.
- 240V hook up
- Thetford 165 litre portable toilet in new 'Thunderbox' which doubles nicely as an extra seat or foot rest for passenger seat when swivelled to face rear.
- Countryroad awning (well used but plenty of life left).
- Thule 2 bike rack.
- Stainless steel exhaust fitted in 2019, leisure battery replaced in 2018 and the main battery replaced in 2021
- We have loved Bluie for many years, loving, looking after and tweaking her to make her work with our changing needs. Replacing the long narrow bed with a double sized rock and roll, on-board running water, creating a new larder and finding new ways to store everything we need. Giving her a new colour scheme always turns heads on our travels and our highlight was probably 4 weeks touring the NC500 in April 2024 and she went like a dream and sailed up over the Bealach na Ba (Applecross Pass).
- There is still plenty of potential to tweak, update and make her your own but our family have not outgrown our lovely bus.
