1973 T2 Bay 1600 Purple/White with pop top - known as Bob

For sale; our much loved 1973 T2 Bay VW Camper Van known as Bob.
We have owned Bob since 2009 and have had many happy trips in that time.
We purchased the van from the VW Camper Company in 2009 and have had considerable refurbishment completed in the time since.
-2010 - Engine rebuild and van rewired by Jacks Garage Ltd
-2011 - Unique fibreglass cupboards, sink and hob unit fitted
-2012 - Fully stripped and repainted by Jacks Garage Ltd.
-2020 - Pop Top roof added.
-2023 - Engine refurbished by Classic Car Mechanic - Liphook.
The van has been regularly serviced and has been kept in a garage when not being used.

However as you would expect for an older van there are some things that need attention, if we were keeping it we would have the small areas of rust and blemishes on the bodywork sorted out, the drivers side window mechanism needs replacing and the water jets to the windscreen need sorting. Aside from these minor issues Bob is a lovely example of a VW T2 Bay that drives well, and is a lot of fun to own.
Included with sale is a Vango Kela IV Low pump up awning, a 3 bike rack and other fixtures and fittings
