Gertie is my beautiful 1973 right-hand drive Volkswagen Westfalia campervan who I’ve lovingly looked after for 15 years, garaged from 2012-2025. It’s with a heavy heart that I am selling her due to relocating overseas and I’m hoping that someone will look after her and love her like I have done.
She’s a rare example, retaining her completely original interior, with the mustard upholstery preserved underneath the red covers I made. She has been completely resprayed and is accompanied by her original service record book from 1973, a wonderful piece of provenance for any enthusiast.
She has a full-size rock ’n’ roll bed along with a double bed in the roof and a replacement waterproof roof tent complete with mosquito nets, and she comes equipped with electric hook-up, 3-pin plug sockets, and USB charging points inside. She has two gas canisters and 2 gas hobs, a sink with tap, but the original fridge is no longer there, although the door is (I put my electric cooler in the fridge space). Leisure battery, CD/Radio player. Included is a drive-away awning which comes with a separate bedroom inside if wanted, plus a new JustKampers breathable cover, cushions, blankets, outside table, pantry.
Historic vehicle, no MOT or tax required. Date of first UK registration 01/04/1975 (declared manufactured 25/09/1973). Mileage 24,281.
