We've owned Digby for 12 years and had many adventures, but it's time to sell to new owners now our kids are grown up and no longer interested in camping with their parents ☹
Digby was originally converted by Auto-Sleeper, one of the best British campervan builders. Auto-Sleeper's a family owned British company, still in business after over 60 years of campervan conversion experience. The build quality is second to none, and Digby is still in original condition. He has a 4 speed manual gearbox and 1.9L petrol engine - the best combination for reliability and power (although maybe not for fuel efficiency!).
He has been professionally maintained and serviced, with a full re-spray in 2022, and we've lots of service records from through his history showing previous owners took great care of him. We didn't have the Auto-Sleeper decals re-fitted after the re-spray so it's a blank canvas for you to detail as you want. There are a few bits of rust bubbling through the paintwork, but only cosmetic surface rust.
The pop up roof has sleeping for two children or one adult, a double seat with 3 point seatbelts that converts into a double bed, a two ring gas hob with grill, a good size sink and drainer with an electrically pumped tap, a three way Electrolux fridge with ice box, and three pin socket for electric hook up with Zig electrical control unit, 12V lighting, loads of storage space, with a leisure battery that's only a couple of years old. The upholstery is worn after 35 years use, so we've fitted covers to all seats, but we replaced the curtains soon after purchase.. We're also selling the Vango inflatable drive away awning, which more than doubles the living space when camping, and Fiamma bike rack that holds 3 bikes.
