This 1971 VW Beetle has recently been professionally rewired and has had its paint restored.
A historic vehicle that doesn’t require and MOT or Road Tax.
The car benefits from a new alternator, solex carburetor, cooling fan, battery, bonnet catch and bonnet seals.
In addition new fog lights, a spot lamp and rear fog light have been added as well as stop sign on the rear. Equipped with a new aerial, radio, cb and 8 track with a new bamboo shelf, insulation, mud flaps and sound proofing this car is great fun to drive. Now fitted with 8 spoke alloys.
The car also has under lights for a bit of fun, these are on a separate switch as are the fog lights and the spot lights and the rear fog lights.
The car also has a cigarette lighter and usb connections in the ashtray.
An isolator circuit is fitted for the peripheral devices such as the radio, cb and 8 track.
An oil pressure gauge and tachometer are fitted as is a dash clock.
Recently serviced and with its rear brakes being part replaced the car drives well and is ready for spring.
The car has a full history including its original bill of sale and service manual. There is a full schematic for the rewire. The car has had an engine swap previously and this is recorded with the DVLA and was increased from a 1200 to a 1300.
The odometer is recording 20705 though I would believe that this is 120705 given the age of the car.
I am the 7th owner.
