History
We’ve owned this camper (conversion carried out by the previous owner, a friend) since summer 2015 and have clocked up around 37,000 miles in it, travelling all over Britain and Ireland. A change in family circumstances means we're not using it now and it's time to sell. It's not a daily driver but does get regular runs - the mileage won’t increase significantly. We have a full service history for our ownership, and we know the previous owner had the van serviced regularly.
Condition
The van starts first time and the engine runs and pulls keenly and cleanly. The van is in great condition overall, and we’ve done lots over the years to maintain and improve it. Key works are:
• New timing belt, new water pump, new auxiliary and power steering belts, 4 new glowplugs in Summer / Autumn 2025
• Last serviced in March 2025
• Cooling fans repaired / replaced March 2025
• Bodywork improvements / rustproofing in 2018 and 2024 - details available on request
• Gearbox rebuild and new clutch at 154,345 miles in 2018
We have receipts for all the above and more. Realistically, it's a 28-year-old van so there's always more that could be done. The underbody will likely need some attention before the next MOT in Dec 2026.
Interior
The interior is fitted with a rock and roll bed, and cupboard/kitchen units with a SMEV two-ring cooker powered by Campingaz, a sink and tap fed from a lift-out water canister, and various storage areas – there’s plenty of stowage under the bed too. The pink and purple ‘granny-chic’ mat was added by the previous owner to protect the grey fitted carpeting, and is removable if not to your taste!
The driver and passenger seats are second-hand Recaros (fitted by the previous owner) and are very comfortable for long journeys. The passenger seat swivels 360 degrees, the driver’s seat is fixed though adjustable backwards and forwards of course. There’s no electric hookup (there’s never been any and we’ve never needed it). A leisure battery provides power for the tap and for some basic interior lighting.
Also included is a simple rainsheet awning so the sliding door can be opened when it’s wet weather – see photos. There’s also a set of interior cab window covers, a refurbished steel spare wheel, and a pair of ramps – not shown.
Location
Based in north Cumbria, the van is ready to go ‘as is’ with two sets of ignition keys, and one key for the immobiliser.
