1973 bay window Westfalia

Vera, our 1973 Bay windowed Westy has been part of our family for the last 25 years, but the time has come to entrust her to someone new. She's running on a nearly new 1.6 air-cooled recon engine, her mechanics are fine and her interior is largely original. But whilst her chassis is good, the rest of her bodywork is in a bad way and fixing her up is beyond us. We've had some welding done, so the rear seat belt fixings are anchored, but she needs a new front beam, work around the wheel arches, and particularly around the engine bay. So, she would be a great project for someone who wants to bring back to life a well loved van.
The interior is classic Westy, with a full width rock and roll bed (with three seat belts) and room to sleep two children in the pop up roof (with relatively new canvas) and one in the cab hammock. There's a cool box, sink and two gas burner with plenty of storage.
