1972 VW T2 Late Bay Tin Top Campervan – “Dave”
Meet Dave – our much-loved 1972 VW T2 Late Bay. After many great adventures together, it’s time for someone new to take the wheel. He’s a genuine classic with heaps of charm, character, and that unmistakable VW soul.
At 54 years young, Dave isn’t perfect, but he’s solid where it counts. His 1776cc engine is a real gem – strong, reliable, and well-maintained. He starts first time, runs beautifully, and is more than ready for many more miles.

Condition
Dave’s mechanically strong and drives really well. As you’d expect for his age, there are some areas of bodywork that could use a bit of attention, including some welding needed to the passenger footwell – nothing major. A few weekends’ tinkering over the winter and you’ll have him shining for next summer.
He’s been a cherished family camper and a proper head-turner wherever he goes.
Summary
A genuine 1972 VW T2 – a proper classic that’s only getting rarer. With his great engine and solid base, he’s the perfect winter project for someone who wants a bit of a tidy-up job before hitting the road again next year.
Around £10,000 – open to sensible offers. Priced fairly to reflect the minor work needed.
