Classic Original VW Campervan Late Bay 1978 - Mileage 32,000 (“Rocky”) for sale (Agreed insurance valve is £24,000) - 2000cc twin carb. Runs really well, powerful and will need holding back as he flys up the hills. Has manual gears, pop up roof, new leisure battery, petrol run internal heater which keeps you warm all year round, small roof rack, rock-n-roll bed, outside canopy, owned for last 8 and years and always garaged. Whole new front panel and windscreen replaced due to dent behind spare wheel from previous owner. Colour red and cream. Underside all cleaned and spray protected. New front brake calliper’s and master cylinder recently replaced. MOT and tax exempt (unofficial one done 2 years ago). Most recent, the gear level was adjusted but all gears working fine! No major modernising and is all original as far as I know.
Internally has a fitted kitchen with sink, gas hob and grill (gas cylinder included with some gas in it), portable small fridge, wired for a main plug in from the outside.
We have not used Rocky much in the last couple of years due to moving from Sussex to Herefordshire and find oursleves very busy. We have carried out works on him since we purchased him in Feb. 2018 getting Rocky ready for spring at that time. We can see that he needs to be used and personalised and ready for this spring time fun and has missed too many. Therefore we decided that it is time for Rocky to move on to new pastures with a new caring owner.
Some minor work still to be done:- Internal paint to be touched up around the front panel replacement that was done, inside door panels want updating, some minor superficial paint bubbles on outside of sliding door, pop up outer skirt (Not leaking) but may wish to change the colour and pop up ceiling fabric needs attention/replacing.
Sensible, realistic and reasonable offers considered for Rocky to go to a new home. He will be missed!
