Let me introduce you to Bella our wonderful green and white T2 VW campervan. She was born in Germany in 1978 and converted by Devon Conversions Limited. We’ve owned Bella since 2023. She’s taken us on many holidays all over the UK last 2 years. I am aware over the years she’s had some work done, including a respray in 2012 (new wheels, collars and a full check last month ready for summer). She still has the original 1970s interior, her body work is in good shape, although she has a few rust bubbles on the front passenger side, as shown in the pictures. We have recently had a similar area of rust on the front driver’s side wheel arch repaired. This area has been primed but not resprayed to match the rest of the paintwork – see photo.
As our personal circumstances has changed, we don’t have the free time as we used to have so we think it is unfair to keep her in the drive.
She got currently only 60100 miles on the clock. She starts first time and drives very well, she is now listed as a classical vehicle, therefore MOT exempt.
The original interior is fully functional, with rock-and-roll bed, 2 hammocks, gas hob, sink, storable table and button on carpet (above a super cool 1970s lino floor). There is also the original cool box fridge (note this is not electric). We’ve recently added flexible solar panels to the roof which charge a leisure battery (solar panels are fixed with adhesive caravan roof tape so could be removed with no damage to the roof). The original interior does show its age with few scratches and worn edges. There is also a hammock bed that fits across the front seats which is suitable for children up to 120 cm tall.
We’re selling Bella because we just don’t use her enough. It’s time for a new home. We have paperwork going back to 1996.
I’ve done a lot of research to set the price of £11,950. Given her condition, this is very competitive compared to similar campervans on the market. Serious buyers only please. The sale will be non-refundable… but if you buy her, you’ll drive away happy!
