“Peggy” 1971, VW Type 2 Dormobile – West London Seeking New Adventures ????
50-something, air-cooled, and still turning heads ….and spanners.
I’ve seen some things, been some places, and I’m not done yet. Lover of sunsets and spontaneous road trips with plenty of room for all the family. I love starry nights, and breakfast with a view!
Am I your Type 2? Not into speed dating (top speed 60mph), but I’m (mostly) reliable, loyal, and come with my own bed.

So sadly the time has come to let “Peggy” go and continue her travels with someone new. The kids have now grown up and it needs someone who has the time and ability to keep her in the good order she deserves. With some love and attention, she’ll be back to her old form in no time. She runs well but needs work on the engine and the bodywork is rusting (see pictures). 77K miles on the clock but has many more in her to go. Sleeps 4, with a rock’n’roll bed for 2, plus two hammocks in the pop up. Also has seat belts fitted in the back for the kids .
I have all the paperwork & receipts for a lot of the work that was done previously on her over the years, an entire box worth! We put in a reconditioned engine 10 years ago but it now needs work on one of the cylinders which we haven’t got round to. Recently had a full service April 2025 from Terry’s Beatles, Hanwell. Driven regularly and recently had a new starter motor and halogen headlights fitted.
Tax exempt, MOT exempt and ULEZ exempt which has been great for us!
