1971 early bay imported from Texas and completely rebuilt by renowned specialists, Johnson Autoworks 2018-2020 with no expense spared. Stripped to the bare metal, dipped, and custom built back up with a Subaru 2000cc EJ20 engine conversion, all new mechanical parts, rebuilt 6-rib gearbox from a late bay 2. 0l to allow easy motorway cruising, CSP gear shifter, Cosmic wheels, power steering and upgraded brakes. The camper has been fitted with a new Late Bay T2 Westfalia Style Elevating Roof which provides a double bed with mattress and side/ front windows as well as a roof luggage rack at the front of the van with custom storage bag to fit. Inside the custom hand-built interior offers 6 passenger seats with seat-belts, front bench seat with pull down arm rest, double din stereo with Apple CarPlay, leisure battery and 3000 watt inverter for off-grid power, 240v sockets, USB sockets, 12 volt wiaeco compressor fridge, full-width rock and roll bed and electrical hook-up as well as solar panel. Since restoration finished in 2020 the camper has been meticulously maintained and remains in like-new condition with the underside wax oiled most recently in 2023. MOT-exempt but comes with a brand new MOT. The van is a stunner and turns heads wherever you go. The Subaru engine makes motorway cruising a doddle and the power steering makes town driving a pleasure.

When delivered from the restoration and rebuild the van showed 94, 500 miles and it has only covered 5, 000 miles in the 5 years since. Originally imported from Texas, subsequently completely rebuilt by Johnson Autoworks and delivered to me to my spec in March 2020.
