Beautiful 1962 rhd Splitscreen Campervan

Lovely period (January 1962) original righthand drive T2 with small back window, square wheel arches, pick axe handles and bullet indicators.
Recent bare metal body restoration (completed February 2023) to very high standard by classic car restoration specialists. Only used since for photoshoot for sale advert.
Refurbishment is finished in age related red and white. The restoration included a new roof, a new front panel, replacement driver's door, new engine bay door and new pop out side windows. The extensive repairs to metal work are documented by photographs and invoices available to potential buyers. The wheels are painted white to match the bodywork and have new tyres and tubes. Rustproofed underneath. With having a new roof, the headlining has been left for the new owner to complete to their own spec.
Although owned for a number of years the camper has been used only a handful of times following the professional installation of a bespoke interior. The interior is plumbed via a water bottle and has electrics via a leisure battery. The bespoke interior includes a unit containing fridge, sink and a two-ring gas hob; with cupboard for gas bottle and water container. There is a classic overhead cupboard and wardrobe above the ‘rock & roll’ bed. More storage is available under the seat/bed and side drop-in lidded boxes. A separate box seat contains a porta-flush loo (non-chemical).
The front seat and rear seat/bed squabs are custom upholstered to match the red/white colour scheme.
The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner who also fitted an upgraded exhaust manifold. Since then, it has had a new starter motor, been converted to electronic ignition and alternator. It runs really well.
The asking price is significantly lower than the cost of the conversion and body restoration.
Also available is a large Outwell drive-away awning with groundsheets and carpet. This is negotiable if the purchaser is interested.
The vehicle is currently in secure storage.
