Boris Needs a New Home! ❤️

Meet Boris, our beloved 1990 water-cooled Westfalia California campervan (left-hand drive), built on the Volkswagen Transporter T24 Vanagon. He’s in excellent condition inside and out, with a comprehensive history file dating back to his original purchase. Regularly serviced, MOT’d, and lovingly maintained—his next MOT is due 30th June 2025.
Exterior & Mechanical Upgrades:
2016: Full external restoration, including rust removal, bumper rebuild, and a VW Paprika Red respray.
2019: Diesel-to-petrol 2.0 GTI engine conversion at 279,592 km (current mileage 295,967 km). This upgrade means more power, smoother cruising speeds, lower noise, reduced pollution, and a respectable 25-35 mpg.
Over the years, we’ve replaced and upgraded countless parts, including:

Factory-fitted interior, in great condition, comfortably sleeps 4 (though we’ve squeezed in our third child across the front seats before!).
Loads of storage space and practical home comforts:
Original fridge runs on hook-up, 12V leisure battery, or gas (new ignition unit installed).
Two-burner hob powered by a refillable LPG gas tank underneath—perfect for campsite cooking!
Sink with a large water tank (tap currently needs an electrician’s touch to get working again).
Radio/CD player with USB input (front speakers need a simple rewire).
The Reality:
Like any well-loved classic, Boris has a few dents, scratches, and some rust spots (see photos), but for his age, he’s in fantastic condition. He’s given us years of adventures and joy, but with a growing family, it’s time to let someone else create their own memories with him.
