1963 Volkswagen Type 2 T1 Split Screen Single Cab Dropside

Greenhous Volkswagen Van Centre are pleased to offer for sale our lovely 1963 Type 2 T1 Split Screen Single Cab Dropside, this vehicle has been apart of the Greenhous family since 2022 after it undertook a full restoration in Spring 2021.

The restoration was carried out by a private individual from Brighton, who travels around the world collecting unused Volkswagen Vans and restoring them to their former glory. The story behind our vehicle is that it originated from Macerate, Italy where the vehicle was used by the Italian Council as a work van, this was denoted by the red stripes on the bumper of the vehicle before its restoration. Once finished with by the Italian council it looks like the vehicle was then moved to L'Olleria near Valencia in Spain, timeline and ownership details are unknown of this period in time.

The Vehicle then was found by the previous owner from Brighton in December 2019, where him and his farther travelled out L'Olleria and rented a van to bring the vehicle back to the UK , the restoration work then started in October 2020, the vehicle
was painted in January 2021 and then had a refurbished engine in February 2021 with red nine suspension upgrades.

When Greenhous Volkswagen purchased the vehicle in 2022 we were told the new engine had done less than 1000 miles since its restoration and since then has only done roughly 100 miles since we acquired its ownership, as it sits pride of place in our showroom, and is only used a couple of times a year to attend off site shows.

The vehicle is in great mechanical order, its runs and drives really well and will be a great edition to anyone who decides to go ahead with purchasing the vehicle.

It does have a few loading marks on the rear bed where one of our Greenhous signs have moved when driving but apart from that please come and see the vehicle in person as the pictures shown don't do the vehicle and justice.
