Hi, we are selling our 2008 T5 Caravelle 2.5TDi (130ps) with a Hi-Lo roof conversion as life moves on to other things and we really are not using it much now!
In good condition, a few 'life' marks here and there (mostly on the wheels tbh) as most vehicles have at this age sadly. It was an ex travel company transport vehicle for the first 4 years of its life and no expense has been spared looking after it, everything has been done as and when needed. It did 200k in those first 4 years and has covered less than 100k since (in 12/13 yrs). Total mileage is 292,600, this may go up slightly as we do still use it. It has a full service history and every receipt for any work done!
We purchased it in 2020 just before lockdown happened, went camping a few times and then decided we would like the roof converted so the kids could sleep up in it. We chose SK Conversions in East Sussex to carry out the work late in 2020, however, being a Caravelle there were quite a few companies that did not want to touch it (I believe due to the extra headliners/fittings etc) but SK had done a couple before and we spoke at length about how it would look etc. They did a fantastic job and the conversion is great! The Hi-Lo roof is really good, giving the van a similar profile to standard with the roof down and great headroom with it up. We also had the panoramic canvas (in black) fitted to allow you to unzip it for great views.
It has a leisure battery under the passenger seat as well as LED lighting in the rear and within the roof as well. We fitted a Reimo multirail on the passenger side for the awning to attach and the van will come with an Outdoor Revolution Airbeam awning which is in really good condition. Inside it has the multiflex board in the back to allow for a full double to be made using the folding rear bench seat. The 2 'captains' seats are with the van, as well as the table/pod so it is still the full 7 seater. It will also come with a Fiamma rear bike rack and 4 spare steel wheels (I had planned on getting the alloys painted etc but never got round to it).
The van drives really well and has been super reliable, we have done a number of camping trips and journeys abroad, it has never let us down.
MOT is due in May (21st) so I can't get a new MOT until the end of April, however, it is due a service in 2000 miles and this will be done before the van is sold. I have had the van serviced each year even if we have not hit the service interval, just for peace of mind.
Please come and view, happy to take people out on a test drive etc as well.
Thanks!
